"The Immortal" is a short story by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. The story tells about a character who mistakenly achieves immortality and then, weary of a long life, struggles to lose it and writes an account of his experiences. 

For them being interior illustrations, I chose the art style that looks close to pen & ink and watercolors, focusing more on line work and graphics, which also corresponds with the story setting that this diary note was found on an old, paling book.
